Hello there, I’m Funmi Suleman, the newly sworn-in President for ComLag ‘88 set aka Class of Eagles. I am a Human Resources industry expert with 19 years of successful experience in managing people: Talent Management, Reward and Recognition, Business Partnering, Change Management and Industrial Relations.
My educational background spans from my 1st Degree in Political Science (B.Sc) University of Jos, Masters in Public and International Affairs (M.Sc) University of Lagos and a number of key professional courses from MacMaster University U.S.A, Museum of Modern Arts N.Y, U.S.A, FATE Foundation Nigeria (2016 Valedictorian), Cornell University U.S.A, Lagos Business School, SHL, NECA (Nigeria Employers Consultative Association), Chartered Institute of Personnel Management where as a full member I served on the Committee for Professional Development and Consultancy (PDC). My professional experience includes approximately 4 years at the British American Tobacco Nigeria Company and 10 years at Guinness Nigeria PLC.
I own an 8-year-old Fashion Retail Store called ‘F3G1 Nigeria Limited’ (acronym of names of my siblings and I), which was borne out of my passion for fashion – looking good and helping others look good.
In 2016, I entered into a business partnership with a dear friend to form a manufacturing Company called ‘ZeeEight12 Nigeria Limited’ that produces a complete range of hair, face and body care natural products from Shea Butter, natural oils and African Black Soap.
A key part of me is my Christian faith and I take my values seriously. I ‘give back’ by coordinating family and friends 4 times every year (for the last 8 years) to support a local orphanage called Ijamido Care home for abandoned children. I’m a Deaconess in my local assembly, a good listener, a coach and mentor to many. I really enjoy meeting people.
I’m very happy to serve, Thank you.
